The National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) form is a scholarship application for eighth-grade students from economically weaker sections.

This scholarship application is open every year to 8th-grade students in order to support the economically underprivileged section of society.

About Scholarship

Scholarship from class IX to class XII through DBT by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to the selected students under the National Means-cum-Megha Scholarship Scheme (NMMS) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India Rs.12000/- per year will be given.

Eligibility Criteria for JAC NMMS Examination 2022-23

  • Students enrolled and studying regularly in Govt./ Kasturba/ Model/ Project/ Minority/ Unaided and aided schools will be eligible for the examination.
  • The annual income of the parent/guardian should not exceed 3.50 lakhs from all sources.
  • Students should be studying in class 8 session 2022-23.
  • In the session-2021-22, a student/student who has passed 55% marks in class 07 (passed with 55% marks of SC / ST) will be considered eligible to apply for the examination.
  • Students who are studying in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Sainik School, and residential schools run by the State Government where arrangements for accommodation, food, and education are made by the Government, are not eligible to appear in this examination.

Syllabus JAC NMMS Examination

There is no fixed syllabus for this examination. The main objective of this examination is to find out about meritorious students.

The examination of the National Means-cum-Medha Scholarship Scheme 2022-2023 is going to be held at the level of Class 7 and Class 8, the examination will be taken on an OMR sheet.

How to apply for JAC NMMS Scholarship Form 2022-23?

  • Visit the Jharkhand Academic Council’s (JAC) official website at jac.jharkhand.gov.in.
  • Click “NMMS Exam Form” on the home page to access the student registration page for JAC.
  • After registering, pay using Application No.
  • Once the payment has been made in full, print the application.
  • All documents must be submitted online by November 29, 2022.

Important Points About Scholarship

  • Students selected under the National Means-cum-Medha Scholarship Scheme will have to be in touch with the school and the DEO throughout the entire scholarship session (Class 9,10,11 & 12).
  • It will be mandatory for the selected students to apply on the National Scholarship Portal every year. If you do not use it, you will not get the benefit of the scholarship.
  • To take advantage of the scholarship continuously, the Adhaar Number of the students should be linked to their bank account.
