Calling upon investors to explore investment opportunities in Jharkhand, state Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Thursday said that Jharkhand is a mineral rich state having immense business potential.
“It’s a rich state with poor people and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has taken a pledge to eradicate poverty from the state. We have done a lot to promote investment in the state as there is better law and order situation as well as the state has become a Red-tape free,” Das said.
Blaming previous governments, Das said, “It’s due to political disturbances during the last 14 years that put the state far behind from other states, which were formed along with it. But now it has become economic power of the world as the state is rich in minerals, land assets, etc.” In reply to a question as about 41 MoUs were inked when BJP’s Arjun Munda was chief minister of the state but nothing came into reality, then how the incumbent government would insure that MoUs signed would become a reality, Das said, Chhodo kal ki baate kal ki baat purani (Just forget whatever happened in the past, we have to start afresh).”
“It’s the most investment-ready state with crystal-clear vision and a robust roadmap. We rank among the best in terms of business reforms and have instituted best practices to fast-forward investments, based on Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) guidelines.
“It is my privilege to work in tandem with our Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Central government’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas,” Das said, while addressing delegates during launching ceremony of investment promotion campaign branded as ‘Momentum Jharkhand’ in New Delhi. While addressing the event state’s Chief Secretary Rajbala Verma said, “Jharkhand has radically altered the narrative of competitive federalism via fast-paced reforms.
“The government is ready with green field smart city, plastic parks, mega food parks, electronic manufacturing clusters and other opportunities for investment.”
While inviting investors Principal Secretary to CM Sanjay Kumar said, “Jharkhand is an important cog in the wheel of ‘Make in India’ initiative. Several factors such as promoting micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), availability of a land bank, improved law and order and a single-window clearance policy is promoting the state as a manufacturing hub.”
